YOu are a good photographer Sherry.Stopped by the gallery/shop today. That basket of skulls is surprisingly small and was right at the door. There are lots of skeleton folk-art pieces, some jewellry, little towels and aprons with hand done embroidery. knick-knacks, art which is interesting but some a bit grim. Some of the paintings have been there for more than a year. There is something for everyone but it is pricey.
If you are there it is something to do if snorkelling or diving are not your choice.

Akumal is 37 kilometers south of Playa del Carmen. When you enter into Akumal from the highway, as you get closer to the beach, you will go through an archway. You can park before the archway or after but it is just past the archway on the right side and easy to see with all its color! Akumal is a small town so it is simple to find.

Okay, now I have to visit this place the next time I'm in Akumal. Your pictures are great, Sherry. I love the close-up of the skulls. Just beautiful!
