This was my second year volunteering to help in the recovery room in Playa del Carmen. It gave me a sense of pride to know how many animals we helped through the recovery of their surgery and to see the happy faces of their owners when they came to pick them up. I look forward to going down again next year with my husband Richard. We met a lot of wonderful people our first year and were very happy to see so many of them had returned. Love to you all!!!

I was privileged enough to be able to volunteer for the 4 days while VIDAS was in Playa for the first time. I met volunteers who were on their 3rd year now. What an experience! It is definitely on my to-do list for next year and I have already invited friends from Canada to join in. We definitely could use some more hands. You can’t buy the happy feeling you will take with you from being able to help so many grateful people with their pets. And the sweet cats & dogs. I loved them all and was able to spay/neuter 4 of our neighbour hood cats & find homes for 3 of them. We’re saving our neighbourhood one cat at a time! Thanks again for the opportunity to be a part of something great.

It warms my heart to see all the love, compassion, and education going into the animals and the people of Mexico. Every year when we visit, I help the animals as much as I can but then I have to leave. I think about them all year until the next visit. Thank you to all the volunteers and to Vidas for making it happen.
